Discover the Power of IEability: A Highly Rated Chrome Extension

Within the expansive universe of chrome extensions , IEability stands out as a powerful chrome extension that's earned an impressive aggregate rating of 4.16 out of 5. This article explores the remarkable features of IEability, user experiences, and why it's a must-have extension in your chrome extension manager.

What Makes IEability Unique?

IEability is an exquisite chrome extension that allows Chrome users to open Internet Explorer (IE) in their Chrome browser , making it one of the top chrome extensions for users who want to stick to one browser. It uses the IE rendering engine to simulate IE in Chrome, opening web pages in IE tab mode just as easily as using a Chrome tab. This feature makes IEability stand out among other chrome extension development tools.

IEability Features

IEability comes loaded with a variety of features that bring the chrome browser extensions' experience to a whole new level. Some of its key features include automatic cookie synchronization, old version website support, and seamless running of Sharepoint, ActiveX, and Silverlight in Chrome without having to switch browsers. Moreover, it provides developer tools support, allowing users to use native IE developer tools to debug scripts, setting the benchmark in chrome extension development.

However, it's crucial to note that IEability for Windows requires a separate executable file, ieability.exe. But don't worry! IEability has always used native code and attaches great importance to user security. The software package has passed security certification from Microsoft, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, BitDefender, Symantec, 360, and Tencent Butler, assuring users that the helper executable file is safe and reliable.

User Feedback on IEability

User reviews are a testament to why IEability is among the best chrome extensions. A user named Hub Ext praises IEability as very useful, enabling them to open old IE pages in Chrome, highlighting the convenience it brings. Damian Ferrari describes it as a lifesaver while working with outdated websites or old teams, underlying its effectiveness and practicality.

While IEability is highly rated, users also point out areas for improvement. Byung.h L (Domelo) mentions encountering a blank web page after switching to IE mode. Such feedback is vital as it helps in the continuous improvement of chrome extensions, ensuring they meet users' needs effectively.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, IEability is a gem in the chrome extension store. Its impressive rating and positive user reviews underline its efficiency and user-friendliness. If you often find yourself switching between Chrome and IE, then IEability is a must-have chrome extension. I used to use IE Tab, but the switch to a paid subscription didn’t work for me. Thankfully, IEability is a great free alternative that does exactly what I need. It’s easy to use and reliable. If you’re looking for a cost-effective solution, this is definitely worth checking out!

I used to use IE Tab, but after two weeks, it became unusable, so I had to uninstall it. I then installed IEability, and I find it really useful. Plus, the fact that it's free makes it even better!

Works Perfect! I use this extension to view an old version of HIK Vision CCTV, which worked on Internet Explorer 11 and lesser versions. After Windows 10 update, Internet Explorer stopped working and used to redirect to Microsoft Edge, which failed to display the CCTV Camera.

I recently removed this extension, but I am still unable to access the website without being constantly prompted to purchase a premium account. To make matters worse, I am also unable to remove the 'ieabiity.exe' file that was required to be installed when using the extension. All I get is a page that says "Sorry, you are trying to access a Malacca Securities Sdn Bhd member/client only page. Please register with us today to enjoy all the premium benefits." This is completely unacceptable and has resulted in a frustrating and time-wasting experience for me. I am extremely angry and disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.
